RENFE awards SICE SEGURIDAD the contract to adapt security systems to Grade 3 on 195 stations in Madrid and Barcelona's suburban trains

Cercanias

SICE SEGURIDAD will be in charge of the project aiming at aligning with grade-3 security systems on 195 stations belonging to Madrid and Barcelona cercanías (suburban train infrastructures) during 2018.

The UNE-EN 50131-1 standard establishes 4 safety degrees according to risk, nature and characteristics of the place. In this case the Cercanías stations require a grade-3 involving medium/ high risk. In addition to this, these systems must be connected to a central unit.

In order to adapt these facilities, supplying and installing 114 video recorders and a closed circuit television (CCTV) in 93 new technical rooms will be required. Access control will also be installed through proximity readers in 70 technical rooms. The CCTV racks will be relocated to new rooms in 84 stations.

Finally, the current intrusion security systems will be updated to current regulations by replacing 185 alarm central alarms and those intrusion elements that are beyond grade (volumetric, seismic, expanders, etc.)

All equipment installed and works done will have a two-year warranty.
