SigueTu- Emergency Tunnel Intelligent Management System

The main purpose of SigueTU is to design a new intelligent wireless signaling system capable of guiding emergencies in tunnels.

The proposed solution presents a system able to signal the best escape route with a dynamic hedging and to inform vehicles and mobile devices about the people within and near the tunnel. This system will also inform in real time about variables measured inside the tunnel (temperature, gas concentration, humidity, etc.), allowing the location and the guidance to the emergency personnel deployed in the tunnel. 

This emergency guidance system, which is composed by intelligent signals integrated into a WSN Wireless Sensor Network, allows to operate in an unassisted mode.

This Project is co-financed by FEDER funds and by MINECO (Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad) under the Programa Estatal de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación Orientada a los Retos de la Sociedad in the framework of the Plan Estatal de Investigación  Científica y Técnica y de Innovación 2013-2016.
