In Itinere – Integrated, extended, relevant and efficient identifying information about traffic

In Itinere is a project focusing on setting new information variants about traffic in order to improve travel times forecasting.

The In Itinere project aims at identifying and determine new variables taken from the information the Bluetooth devices in vehicles driving on a certain area provide.

Data never used before, such as the time spent on road, multiple detection and its broadcast will allow to generate information about traffic e.g.: separation of traffic streams in urban crossings and motorway access.

In addition, this project will cover the problem concerning the forecasting of travel times, which is based on AVI systems measures.

This Project is co-financed by FEDER funds and by MINECO (Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad) under the Programa Estatal de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación Orientada a los Retos de la Sociedad in the framework of the Plan Estatal de Investigación Científica y Técnica y de Innovación 2013-2016. .
