IMPORTAES intends to develop a technological solution aimed at identifying passengers to improve the services the bus transportation sector offers.

The main objective is to develop a device which identifies passengers and which can be easily installed in buses and bus stops. This identification device will count on RFID, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies, the latter already available in transportation companies in some Spanish cities.

The IMPORTAES solution extend the service catalogue offered by the bus transportation sector which enables to create a proximity marketing platform. Some services included in this new catalogue are, for instance, multimedia content, tailored to the travel times, improving the user’s experience.
