DERIVVA
DERIVVA aims at developing a reduced electronic interlocking with a new architecture design favoring interoperability with other external systems and meets the SIL-4 security level.
The project DEVELOPMENT OF REDUCED INTEROPERABLE INTERLOCK WITH AUTONOMOUS VALIDATION AND VERIFICATION PROCESSES (whose acronym in Spanish is DERIVVA) aims at developing a reduced electronic interlocking with a new architecture design favoring interoperability with other external systems through new interfaces and meets the SIL-4 security level through redundancy techniques and risk-mitigating processes. In addition to the new interlocking system, an interoperable LED luminaire with Fail-Safe design with all kinds of interlocking and a test execution module is developed. This measure allows to speed up the verification and validation processes with simulation techniques.
Therefore, several action areas are distinguished within this project including differentiating activities due to certain deficiencies observed in signaling systems:
DERIVVA meets market needs characterized by the following key aspects for operators and administrators in the short, medium and long term: system sustainability, energy efficiency, improved security and reduced infrastructure maintenance costs.
All this makes DERIVVA an innovative project, technically and economically viable, which responds to the needs of incorporating innovation in the railway signaling business line with a clear commercial potential at national and international level.
