Operation and maintenance of the La China waste water treatment plant (WWTP) in Madrid, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, by a multi-disciplinary team of more than 65 workers. The La China WWTP is the oldest WWTP in the city of Madrid (dating back to 1934).

Operation and maintenance characteristics

  • Operation of the water and sludge treatment system. Adaptation of process parameters, reagent dosing, waste management, etc.

  • Predictive, preventive, regulatory, metrological and corrective maintenance.
  • Execution of improvement works and new treatment sub-processes. 
  • Computerised infrastructure maintenance management (GIMDEI).

  • Management of waste and sludge for their subsequent removal by third parties.
